  Charming quaint old building. Room was huge and our bed was two beds put together as one, but comfy enough.(This is rather the norm in Italy). En suite was big also, but could do with a chair or small table to place things (like make-up bag etc). Breakfast was really lovely and the home-made jams (specially the lemon) is divine. I refused the very... wat mensen zeggen » kind offer of taking some home to Australia because I thought it might get taken off us at the airport. It really was beautiful. Giussepina also made - We travelled with another couple so this was like sharing an apartment. Giuseppina was a wonderful host helping us with suggestions on whereto eat, (all of which we loved) even though she had little English. Son Giuseppe carried our bags up the 3 flights of stairs and down again on our departure. Wonderful breakfast. Would absolutely recommend.

  The owners of the B&B were very friendly and helpful taking care of all our needs. The hotel was located in the old town centre, short stroll from magnificent views and all town monuments and attractions.   Rustig, (maar dit is relatief : want in déze periode is het wellichtoveral rustig: we waren de enige klanten).maar ook rustig tegenoverhet verkeer: we waren aan de straatkant, maar toch niks gestoord,want uitstekend sluitende ramen (nieuw), maar ik kan me inbeelden datje dan in de zomer de ramen wil openzetten...   Great location, very accommodating.. Very helpful staff, very close to Fontana Bianche.. The bicycles available for free on the property were a great way to get to the beach and rocks.   Very nice stay. Great breakfast, most of it home made and fresh. Owner is very friendly, caring, educated and hospitable. No problem getting there. Ispica is interesting for the cava d'Isp - Very eclectic and modern design, the room was very comfortable with lots of storage space and high end shower and bath soaps. The location is rural and very peaceful, the grounds are beautiful, the breakfast was a delicious mix of local dishes and fresh fruit. The lady in charge was very graceful and helpful. I would describe the Balarte as the Gugenheim in the middle on the Scicilian countryside !

It is run by Massimo, known as Salvatore :), and his lovely wife, who bakes all the bread and cakes for breakfast, so you really feel you're at home!
