  Blu is situated about 1km from the port of Vulcano. The staff speak English and they were only to happy to send the shuttle bus to collect us and our luggage. The Hotel is actually a large collection of spacious, full equipped apartments, ie cooker, utensils etc. The bathroom was spotless as was the rest of the apartment. The pool area was a very ... wat mensen zeggen » short walk from our apartment, with an infinity pool over looking the sea and the smoking Sulphar volcano in the back ground. Here you will find seati - The pool area was great with a stunning view over the bay. The snack bar served excellent salads and paninis for lunch. The accommodation was spartan but clean and comfortable and well-designed so that you stay cool even at the hottest part of the day. The staff were very helpful and considerate and the shuttle bus down to the town is a great benefit. Ring or e-mail ahead and they will pick you up from the ferry when you arrive.

  The island had been closed for any boats because of weather, so the owner contacted us and proposed to change for the next day. However, it was in November - low season. The rooms with sea view are great (because of the sea view). There is also terrace with swings and chairs. Rooms are big, with small kitchen and old styled furniture. Very cosy. J... wat mensen zeggen » ust 3 minutes walking from Magmatrek, where excursions start. 7-10 minutes walking from the harbour. - Excellent location few minutes walk from centre of Stromboli village, large spacious well equipped room with terrace overlooking sea and mountain behind. Staff able to book trek to crater for guests, breakfast served at nearby bar with good choice of items. Main reason for visit was the crater trek, but found that there is so much more to do on the island.

  We visited Lipari during the off season, which makes the hospitality atLa Giara in some ways that much more notable. We got a great low seasonrate, but were never made to feel forgotten or under-appreciated, evenon the night when we were the only guests.   We got the room in the morning much before the official check in. This is a wonderful place in the nature on the slopes of the volcano. We had (included) breakfast in the nearby cafeteria with the best view in the village. - Very cozy bed and breakfast - was picked up by one of the cute small Strombolean "taxis" when we arrived by ferry... which ... wat mensen zeggen » is nice, since it's placed a bit "uphill."   Strand is dichtbij, bushalte is dichtbij. Alles is bereikbaar. - A super alternative to the touristic hotels! Next to the beach, relaxed, very cheap (compared to hotels on Lipari). The owners were very kind to let us in at midnight which is not common for campsites (due to cancelling our ship we had to take the late one to get to Lipari). If you just walk on about 100m you'll have a place that serves great ice cream and delicious tavola calda for lunch (yellow "tent" in front of the entrance). We s - I liked that it was not crowded--because of the off -season probably, that the staff was helpful, the camping is closely monitored , so you have keys for the gates if you come back in the evening. I was in a bungalow which was fine, I didn't venture in other sides of the camping but all looked quiet and the guests were behaving in a civilised manner.

  If you are looking for paradise on earth, the Belvedere is it! The hotel is located in a beautiful enchanted location. Francesca, the host, is gracious, helpful, and a gourmet cook.   The hotel is located down a little alley just off the main street in Lipari town. This is really convenient for restaurants, shops and bars of which there are a lot and a very good. The location is also perfect for ferries being 100m from the port. The familiy who run the hotel could not be nicer and were very helpful with everything. Small, equipped kitchen (fridge and hotplates) in which we could cook with. Clean and very well located in the centre of the old town, close to port. Lovely terrace on the roof of the building looking out over the buildings and port. We really enjoyed this accommodation and believe it was excellent value.

  Warm,friendly front desk staff made our stay very enjoyable. Facilities were great location minutes walk to beach and Main Street shops and restaurants. Pool area was wonderful and relaxing with views of the ocean and town. Rooms were spacious with huge terrace to enjoy evening meals outside or just relax. Kitchen was very handy in the apartments ... wat mensen zeggen » especially for longer stays. It was very hard to leave this beautiful oasis. We were very happy we stayed here in Canneto instead of the main town of - The location was perfect, Just a short downhill stroll to beach,bus stop and good restaurant.Shuttle bus from Lipari was convient views from pool are picture postcard gym a bonus and staff always had a smile on their face no request was to much trouble.
