  Our hostess met us at the door and told us where to park. She gave us a brief run-down of where to eat and even offered to make reservations for us if we would like. It was a very easy walk to town - but be ready for the steep walk back up to go to bed! Rooms (we had 2) were very clean. I had requested ahead for a gluten free breakfast but when the time came the lady didn't have ant glutted free bread but she did offer twice to go out and buy some especially for me. I would have much rather she had read my request when she accepted my booking.

  A proper family run B&B that welcomed guests with a warm friendly vibe and with owners who were very accommodating to our needs. They embraced local with a breakfast that consisted of lots of fresh food grown and baked on the working farm that meant for a delicious start to the day. The setting is beautiful with super views and you won't have a breakfast like theirs anywhere in Ireland. Lovely home and very comfortable. An absolute must stay.

  Jimmy & Mary were wonderful. We got in about an hour before sunset and didn't want to drive back into Kinsale. Mary recommended the Sparkle Door about 2 miles up the road where we had the best meal of our entire trip. Homemade tomoto soup and fish chowder and amazing salmon and fish and ships. The Blue Horizon has its' own pub that we sat at with the owner Jimmy and his daughter Geraldine. We pulled our o - In spite of the rain we enjoyed our stay. There was lots to see in the area and many restaurants/pubs to eat out. The main reason for our visit was to see the area where my Grandfather had been taken as a survivor of the Lusitania sinking during WW1. Unfortunately the museum in Kinsale was closed so we did not get to see the information, about my Grandfather, that we had provided for the museum. The owners of the B&B were wonderful people and helped us any way that they could.

  We liked everything. Received a very warm greeting when we arrived and we were made to feel very welcome. Kilcaw House was a pleasure to stay in and Christina the owner was delightful and very helpful. Would definitely stay there again. - Very nice B&B.
