The location is excellent, maybe a minute's walk from the Golden Temple. This allowed me to easily visit it a second time after dark (and, had I been sufficiently energetic, would have been helpful for visiting it at dawn). The staff were very friendly and helpful. They recommended some nearby restaurants and also allowed me to leave my bag between checking out and catching my train. The wifi worked well, which is very important to me as a solo traveller. alle beoordelingen » The location of this hotel just can't be beat! It is a one minute walk to the Golden Temple, and a rickshaw ride to many other points. Darbar View also offers many inexpensive tours that can be tailored to guest needs. There is no restaurant on site, but they offer delivery service from a very good local Indian restaurant. Staff was attentive, friendly, and HONEST. I left an Indian outfit there, and they contacted me immediately, with offers to send it back to me. I would definitely stay here a. The hotel is located 20 seconds walk from the golden temple. The staff was very helpful and friendly. One of the staff showed us the way to a nearby restaurant walking with us for 10 minutes. The price (1100 Rs.) was very attractive and excellent value for money. The room was clean and in good maintenance condition. I would highly recommend on this hotel. I felt the room was a bit chilly; I think this was partly an unavoidable consequence of the weather and the lack of heating in most Indian properties, but there was also a bit of a draught from the balcony door. When I first checked in I was put in a normal room instead of the superior room I had booked. The staff rectified this almost immediately without being asked, however (I was trying to get the booking page up on the web to confirm before I complained). Word of warning if you do stay here...there IS hot water, but you must let it run for a while to get it!. The taxi the hotel ordered has not came on time and we had to get one on the street. It is advisable not to order by the hotel (they asked 700 Rs. and we eventually got it on the street for 300 Rs.). room size is small door mat, room sleeper, not available. food is from outside restaurant. therefore food service is not speedy. No arrangement has been made to keep the clothes, it should be some screws in the room to hold the clothes either on wall or on back side of doors. Room service - took ages to get the stuff. Car can not reach the hotel. No private parking. None. beds were doing Chu Chu all the night the movement you turn around people even from out side the room can know that some one is moving on bed. not value for money small rooms expecting better response from attendants. There was no hot water!. The narrow approach road to the hotel . The car could not reach there. We were not informed earlier about this lack of good approach. We had to use cycle rickshaws to transport our luggage to the hotel. Very tiny room. Very small hotel as well as room sizes. Surroundings are very poor. the shower not running hot water. Bed and metres are not comfortable. location of the hotel is in streets nd its very difficult to locate it . facilities are none, u just get a room to stay.
