  Good location, just on the edge of the old town. Very quiet, has 2 sets of doors to the hallway and good blinds/ curtains. Lots to do in the region and this hotel is well- located above Ribeauville and its scenic center. Also close to some nice hiking in the area and biking from village to village. We were upgrad - This was our second trip to Clos St Vincent, and we returned because of the great time we had in July. It was actually a spur of the moment decision, due to an open weekend, and no plans. As it turned out, it was a great time to go, and we were fortunate there was a room, as it was the weekend of the Medieval Festival, and we got the only room left, a comfortable family room. We again brought our dogs, and enjoyed walking through the vinyards, now laden with bunches of nearly ripe grapes. Em

  Beds were very comfortable. Nice, large double bed in one room (2 singles together) and two single beds in the other room. Management was helpful and accommodating. The two communicating rooms worked well for our family. We appreciated the "pet-friendly" atmosphere. Good shower and big, fluffy towels. Excellent Wi-Fi. There is a fountain in front of the front door that spouts wine during Piperdays, a holiday that takes place on the first weekend in September. The breakfast is continental, but has many choices.   We stayed at Gite Meyer-Liss because it is in a beautiful area, at the right price, and on our way through France to the ferry terminal at Calais. The atmospheric old house was converted 20 years ago to accommodate paying visitors and has not suffered as a result.   A nice hotel with good parking - but the parking is accessed from Rue des Juifs, not from the hotel's address. Our room was actually four - toilet, bathroom, sitting room and bedroom. Warning - the bedroom we had was up some very steep stairs which might cause problems for people with impaired movement. All was spotlessly clean. The evening menu w... wat mensen zeggen » as good, the portions huge - beware!! We didn't have the breakfast but it looked good. There is good, free wifi access (ask the proprietor). The hot - Stayed in the 'reduced mobility' room 'Framboise' - spacious, spotlessly clean, well appointed clean room with great bathroom / shower. The room had it's own independent entrance with easy access to village centre. The staff were very welcoming & friendly. Breakfast was good with all the usual croissants, bread & preserves etc. plus meat & cheese & excellent coffee. All in all a good overnight stop.
