It's a country manor house that has been beautifully decorated in a period fashion with sumptuous wall paper, drapes, antiques and fascinating paintings, sculpture and objets d'art.   The staff were so friendly and could not do enough to look after us. The hotel itself was picture perfect, nestled along a quaint street just yards away from the magnificent cathedral. The location was central to town, and parking was really convenient. The hotel is small, and I guess that's why it's only a 2 star hotel - though it feels more like... wat mensen zeggen » a 3. Rooms - very comfortable and perfectly formed. - The staff went out of their way to help us with a rental car problem and were very friendly and accommodating with respect to all other matters. The restaurant/bar had a great atmosphere and the food was delicious. The setting is absolutely beautiful with the River Aure right behind the rooms in the annex.

  I had left my passport in the safe and was already driving back to Paris. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful and immediately contacted me via email and telephone. I had asked for them to send my passport back to the hotel i am staying at in Paris which i provided the address to. They were so helpful and honest and managed t - A wonderful old, quirky hotel right in the middle of Bayeux literally a stone's throw from the tapestry museum and the cathedral with great restaurants, cafes and bars right on its doorstep.   The hotel was fresh, clean and new with efficient friendly staff at a brilliant budget price. The room was spotless with comfy beds which were cleaned and made up despite us only staying 2 nights. The layout of the room was very clever and made excellent use of the space making the room feel bigger despite a double, single bunk and cot being prese... wat mensen zeggen » nt. - It was a great place to stay for what we needed and staff was very friendly and helpful, price was right, our only complaint was that we didn't realize it was out of Bayeux approx. 4Kms and we didn't have a rental car (and there weren't any to rent in town) so we needed to taxi everywhere and that got a bit pricey.

  Very French setting. Owner and her children were outstanding. They went out of their way to make experience good. Drove me to Mont st. Michel when scheduled tour fell apart. Drove me to train station for return early in am. The breakfasts were very good. Good people very accomodating. Gardens and location were great. Attentive to our needs, friendly and responsive. The breakfast was continental, but there was plenty of everything, with coffee flowing all morning.
