  Staff are fabulous. They serve you before you even think to ask them. I ordered room service and one of the dishes I didn't like its taste, but I just left it and my friend ate hers. When they got back the table, and saw that I haven't eaten what I orderes, they called me to ask what was wrong with the dish and I simply told them I didn't like its... wat mensen zeggen » taste, they apologized and offered to serve me another dish on them, and they sent a complimentary fruit platter as well. The staff at breakfast are - probably the best location possible in cairo, right on the nile (just a couple of blocks away from tahrir square and the egyptian museum). i felt safe in the hotel..despite the revolution going on (with guns and tanks and protestors) just a couple of blocks away. :) the hotel security was good (with extra guards and metal detectors at the front entrance). also, the roof-top pool was very nice and welcoming.

Location prime - great access to everything. A good cafe, McDonal - Passing judgement on a hotel in Egypt in a time of crisis is tricky. Do you commend them for maintaining standards when there are few visitors - there js even WiFi in the rooms now, and it works most of the time - or do you comment on the fact that shop has closed, breakfast is less abundant, and that atmosphere is affected? It was my 3rd time in Safir in 18 months; 'your second home' the friendly hotel manager commented at check out. Safir can give you that feeling, but it is dependent on the

  The location of the hotel was wonderful, right on the Nile with wonderful views of the river, it was also within walking distance of the Egyptian Museum and Cairo Tower. It was very pleasant sitting in the floating bar/restaurant and watching the world go by on the river. The staff were very polite and extremely helpful.
