  The room had a nice warm feel to it, was spacious and well finished for an older hotel. The bathroom was modern, great facilities in the room including desk and sofa. Overall good experience in a quiet suburban location with lots of parking. - Our room was close to the road, but due to 2 doors into the bathroom,no road traffic was heard at all.   Loved the facilities, location, recreational facilities, amenities (even the changerooms and toilets were recently updated in the rec room). But, also having 4 children with us, ranging from 1-12years, the Red Lion - To arive after a 5hour drive and be told that you have been upgraded to a spa room was the BEST EVERY,It was my BIRTHDAY. I loved all of it, the room was a great size, the meals at the resturont wear delish and great value for money, the staff wear polite and very helpful. Having a long day out then coming back to the room and soak in the spa, then just wall out the door over to the restaurant for dinner was the best did not have to go anywhere it was just all there.
