  I arrived really late at night, which was very scary in such a busy city, however when i got there the man on the desk made me feel so much at ease and was so welcoming!   1) the facilities are modern 2) very clean 3) individual bathroom on the 2nd floor was really good because I was able to prepare myself without being interrupted by other patrons 4) although the blanket was quite light it was surprisingly warm. This is great for an overnight in - The Staff was really friendly and they help me with everything I needed. The Hostel is well organised and clean. They have a lot of activities going on. But at the same time, they are able to keep the hostel calm, so you can choose or join the activities or resting in your room. It is a really good place to be.

  The staff was awesome. The reception staff, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, all so friendly. It was clean, and the hotel is near the station, and very close to the famous Chapel Street (Restaurants/Shopping) Very good value for money, and the room was comfortable. I would surely go to the Claremont next time I am on holidays around Melbourne. I do ... wat mensen zeggen » recommend it to students/backpakers/travellers/couples and anybody who is looking for a very 'good value for money' hotel, cheap, and (close to town). - It is not a luxury hotel and is at the lower end of the price scale, but it is excellent for what it was. The place was kept immaculately clean and the staff were assiduous and very helpful. They were extremely good in serving breakfast, which was another bonus, and the front desk team were very friendly and accommodating. I thought this hotel superb value. It is right beside South Yarra Metro station, which has very frequent service 6 minute to and from the central part of Melbourne.

  Good standard hostel is really good value and in a great location near (one block back parallel to esplanade) Apollo Bay and within easy reach of some of the best sights on the glorious Great Ocean Road, owner/manager very helpful and knowledgeable and told me road to use to see koalas sleeping in the trees - and they were right there, fab! - Onl... wat mensen zeggen » y stayed overnight while travelling and had never stayed in Backpackers before. We were very pleasantly surprised. The unit was very clean and comfortable with 2 bedrooms. Would definitely stay again

  So close to Southern Cross Station for early morning departure on Overland train next day. Close to Convention Centre only a couple of stops away on the tram for attending a conference. I was still able to have free breakfast in the morning even though I was ready to check out before 7am when breakfast normally starts. Just a short walk from Southern Cross Station. All the staff is friendly & helpfull, allowed me to check in early. I enjoyed the free pancakes on sunday morning when i arrived - TQVM ALL

  Great hostel. Friendly staff. Very clean and great kitchen facilities. It felt like you were staying "at home". Would certainly recommend staying here. - I like EVERYTHING there - quiet, clean, comfy, friendly boss, eco surroundings - simply awesome (Thumbs UP)

We only needed a bed & place to leave our luggage, so it suited us well. Rooftop BBQ, smokers' area.   The location is perfect, close to everything thanks to Flinders Station and the tram, but you can just walk as well. The bathrooms are clean, and the kitchen as clean as it can be in a backpacker.   We had two bedrooms in a four bedroom cottage. Fortunately for us only one of the other two rooms were occupied the evening we were there. Their was a great choice of cereals and preserves for breakfast. - The room was in the different building from the dorm best, it was quit, had a big living room in case you want to make food.   The previous manager seemed to have been a complete nutter judging by comments on some sites, but the current manager, Graham, is a quiet yet friendly and professional guy. It is a pretty convenient location, spacious, clean, relaxed, and quiet - in tune with the beautiful little town Bendigo. I would definitely stay there again. Great day- great people. - We found Bendigo Backpackers a great place to stay; the manager was friendly and made us feel welcome, it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.
