I just wanted to say thank you to the staff at Punthill in Chinatown. They were just fantastic...nothing was too much for them and they were incredibly helpful at all times. They really showed what good service is about. I have stayed in hotels and apartments all around the world and they rate at the top end of my experience. Couldn't have asked for more - and the cafe downstairs was open on Good Friday! Apartment was clean and serviced well. Loved location down a few steps turn right onto Degraves St and huge choice of eateries. 4 mins walk from Flinders Staton, 8 mins to Fed Sq. and Young & Jackson pub - restaurant upstairs great meal. The staff were great. I booked the wrong Punt Hill and they changed me over to the China Town Punt Hill . It must have been a pain for them but they were very friendly and I appreciated that very much. I'd book into this one again for a lot of reasons. I like people who don't make a big deal about things and just get on with it. The managers made our family very welcome and our stay was really great. I am looking forward to going back.

Unfortunately the hot water system died the day we arrived, but
management was wonderful during this very testing time. We were kept
informed on progress of repairs and eventually taxied to another
apartment. Staff also took time to offer sightseeing advice and hints to

Easy access to Free City Tram and Bus.
Ample eating venues also a good little IGA Supermarket.
Reasonably Quiet location for a good nights sleep in the comfortable bed. Enjoyed the bath/spa too !
Extra payment for car parking was clearly explained by staff but all ok. Just next door and undercover. Not a problem !

This apartment included a full kitchen which I didn't expect - even a dishwasher, oven & Microwave. My husband was ill on the day we were leaving and the staff allowed us to keep our room for longer (free of charge). They also allowed us to store our luggage until we were ready to leave. -

The room I had - 206 - was perfect after a long tiring & emotionally
draining 6 week trip overseas. The shower was best I have had anywhere -
a good very strong jet of instantly hot/cold water. Provison of
small fridge and coffee/tea making facilities was good and should be

I love this hotel. This was my second stay there. The location is fantastic, particularly if you are driving into the city from the airport like I was - easy to find. The staff are very very helpful and went out of their way to help me. The building is a little bit old and needs some small repairs, but really you can't beat this place for location and value for money.

Wonderful hotel with pleasent and helpful staff. We stayed in a 1 bedroom city view apartment and the room was large and as the pictures portrayed with a full kitchen and large fridge - much better than some of the other Oaks hotels I've stayed in, and the view was amazing. We didn't want to leave! Definitely going to stay here again on future hol

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location was excellent, so close to train and tram stop, and walking distance to so many different places of interest. Awesome cafes across the street for breakfast! Rooms were very quiet, and the city views amazing. Upgrade to a premium 2 bedroom apartment was real bonus and very much appreciated!
