Set on 27 acres in the heart of the Clare Valley, this motel was the recipient of the 2012 South Australian Tourism Silver Medal. It offers a saltwater swimming pool, a restaurant and a BBQ area surrounded by trees and birdlife. The peaceful Clare Valley Motel is 10 minutes' walk from the Riesling Trail and the centre of Clare. Featuring a log fire, the cosy Top of the Hill restaurant serves local and western specialities. Room service meals can be requested for breakfast and dinner. Guests can access internet at the property’s business centre. Each of the air-conditioned guest rooms offer a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. All include an en suite bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. Motel Clare Valley is a 20-minute drive from the town of Auburn and from the Auburn Art Gallery. It is a 30-minute drive from the historic mining town of Burra.

Beautiful location and a really pretty and romantic looking facility. Lovely staff and certainly value for money. Room was airy and roomy and very clean. Comfortable with a living room feel and not just a bedroom. On arrival staff were very friendly and welcoming. Meal at the restaurant was superb.Room service was an unexpected bonus. Friendly helpful reception staff. Very comfortable queen bed which is a priority for us.Quiet spot. Clean, modern room.Spacious bathroom.Made up daily beautifully. Well priced as we enjoyed the walk to town.Close to reisling trail to ride our bikes. Will do it again.Had a room adjacent to our friends.
alle beoordelingen » Lee Stokes (proprietor) was a great host and very friendly. Cooked breakfast was great and the location to the Clare Valley vineyards was ideal. Our room was very clean, comfortable and up-to-date as a result of Lee's refurbishments. Lovely high views and well kept surrounds. Mine host guided us on the local area and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting the various locations. The restaurant was excellent with chef coming out to ask us how we enjoyed our meal. Very good value for money, clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this motel. The aspect looking out over the valley, the quaint design, easy access, good parking facilities, excellent comfortable and spacious room arrangements, really friendly and helpful staff, and excellent restaurant. A totally great package at a value for money price. The rooms were clean and well presented. It was quiet at night. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast meals were well presented, filled the plate and filled your tummy! The Dining room was cosy and the meals also beautifully cooked and presented. very friendly proprieter. central to all the wineries. close to shopping and food places.very peacefull, and private. loved the pool area. maybe it would be good to introduce tapas style food served at the outdoor restaurant, weather permitting. I travel to Clare every year for business. This is the first time I've stayed at Clare Valley Motel, but I know where I'll be staying from now on! Really friendly staff, lovely fresh clean accommodation, great meals. Couldn't have been happier. The friendliness of the staff - top marks. The appearance of the motel, comfortable beds and delightful rooms. I would have liked to stay longer to enjoy the swimming pool, etc. I was also happy that our stay was not too expensive. Our room was not large, but served the purpose well. It was spotlessly clean and all the usual facilities were there and in good working condition. Situated off the main road in a semi rural setting which was quiet and peaceful. The Motel is in a excellent location up on the hill and away from traffic noise. My husband forgot his shaving cream and was impressed when he saw the container provided but they never filled the container in the bathroom which was disapointing or the shampoo. Didnt see a Clare tourist guide. Evening meals were a little disappointing, particularly the scallops. Nothing. Only booked in for one night!. Nothing. Didn't have time to stay longer. No complaints at all. Nothing to report. Air conditioning worked very well. 38 degrees, but was quite noisy. Fryscreen on the front door is needed. To many flies inside when we arrived as the front door was wide open. We did find the flyspray. Nothing!. nothing. The air conditioner noise from our room and neighbouring rooms was a little too loud. Nothing to dislike about this motel. Did miss the facility to prepare a snack meal. no hair drier in room no dressing length mirror in main room. Nothing. Hungry for an afternoon snack,the cook couldn't provide us with a simple cheese platter or chips.So we booked a taxi into town & ordered pizza. Found the dining room was pre-booked out for dinner & breakfast due to a coach bus booking. Suggest enquire before booking ya room. Daah. Nothing. I found nothing to criticise. Only negative comment is inconsiderate patrons ( in rooms adjoining ours) talking loadly at 6am sunday and monday morning. I know this may be insignificant but why can't people whisper on the "rest day" (sunday) - this is the one reason why we will stay at a self contained cottage next time. It was such a quiet location that at times you could hear the shower when it was on in the next room but this didn't bother us too much. Couldn't find fault with anything.
