As a Local of 33 years we like to treat one self to a bit of luxury. We have stayed here before an loved it. Rooms are very clean n have had a bit of a refurb an look great. Love the bed, not the usual two pushed together but a genuine kind size bed! Large balcony was nice, little touches of luxury such as spa bath, large shower, bath robes, mini bar etc. Staff booked our boat trip to the reef for us and they have lots of area knowledge and recommendations, very helpful and friendly!

Staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The horizon club area + pool side was very clean. The horizon club had a very good deal with the breakfast buffet plus the coffee/tea/drinks throughout the day + the evening canapes. We stayed twice at the Pullman International Cairns on this trip. Two nights on the way to Port Douglas and one night on the way back. We just had the best time at your hotel.... We had dinner at Cocos then a complimentary breakfast the next morning which was part of our accommodation package ... Your staff are the most friendly, easy going people we have come across in any hotel we have ever stayed at, even the guys who park our car to the the valet who brings our bags to our room.... 6 star in our books.... Goede bedden, fijn balkon, goede bedden. Na de eerste dag deed de Wifi het prima (ook op de kamer). Restaurant niet uitgeprobeerd, Esplanade was ongeveer 15 minuten lopen. -
Really friendly reception staff, nice comfortable room with nice balcony, good bed and overall a good place to stay. Excellent location on the esplanade and ideal for a walk.

Great place. If you're looking for somewhere to party & have a laugh then this is the place.
Stayed in a four bed room with an ensuite shower & toilet which were cleaned everyday.
Staff were friendly & helpful along with the tour desk.
The club though is brilliant!! Large & loud & does $10 meal/drink deal which was a life save

Stayed from 19.2.13 - 26.2.13 in room 417 and had an awesome stay. I went with 3 people from work in Brisbane as a get away. We hardly ended up leaving at all because everything was there. I'll be booking again soon. Very hard to fault! Thanks to all the Gilligan's team.

Everything. We were upgarded without it being requested so that we had a quiet room. Reception staff were excellent as was the assitance given from the tours desk and the restaurant.
Clean modern rooms; very well appointed.
Excellent restaurant and pool.

We were originally meant to only stayed 4 nights but we stayed the entire 8 of our holidays!
It is definitely worth the price you pay.
Our room was serviced everyday by the friendly house keepers and were always greeted by the friendly, helpful service desk people.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Rydges Esplanade Resort. The staff were helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We checked in prior to 2pm due to a flight reschedule and even though the hotel was close to full the staff did everything they could to get us into our room as quickly as possible which was greatly appreciated. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We had a mountain view room which had stunning views of Cairns at night. If your out during the day, I'd recommend this

The location of the Bay Tree Hotel was perfect for our tansfer from the airport, the boat to Green Island for snorkelling and the Skytrain / Karunda rainforest expererience. The staff at the hotel desk were extremely helpful, polite and efficient. Breakfast by the pool on a nice sunny morning was perfect and added to our holiday. The room was perfect for the 3 nights we stayed, the confortable bed and the well equipped bathroom with walk in shower was very acceptable.

Absolutely amazing place to stay, with great staff and superb accommodation.
I arrived from my flight at about 5am, 9 hours before check in. This wasnt a problem, was shown straight to the guest lounge and was able to get some sleep and a shower and wait in comfort.
