  Everything. Functional design, very clean, no motel smell, little touches like chocolates and individual soaps for each, wi fi internet and FoxTel, etc. One of the best motels we have stayed at. The little luxuries don't cost much, but make all the difference.The next cabin we stayed at for same price had old, worn and dirty and broken things and ... wat mensen zeggen » a tiny TV screen, advice to turn the lights off to save energy, and a warning that if we didn't leave it clean and tidy there would be a cleaning fee - Our 2 bedroom apartment represented really good value compared to others in the same price range. Spacious bedrooms with 3 single beds for the kids - no need to worry about bunks! Very clean & well equipped for cooking etc.. It's so nice to finally find decent sized coffee mugs supplied too (the little things are important!). Helpful, friendly staff - a great family stay! Oh.. And free wi-if that actually worked!! ;)

  Staff (owner) was amazing. There was a smell in iur room, we went down to tell her, immediately we were moved. She apologised that the new apartment wasn't as good (actually it was better) she was friendly and welcoming. She gave great advice if where to eat in town. Apartment had washer and dryer which was great. Excellent for travelling between Adelaide and Melbourne. Receptionist was particularly kind and helpful. Due to have a baby soon!!

  Good Size room Basic but comfortable Pricing was OK Allowed to check in early so we could then head out for a day at Soveriegn Hill refreshed . - Close to the city and main attractions. Plenty of space in the room and the beds were really comfortable.

  The position is in the part of Ballarat where we needed to be. The room is configured automatically as a twin room and is very comfortable and has everything we need.. The room has cutlery and crockery and when we wanted more to have people to join us for lunch, our host was very obliging.   Upon arrival Tracey was wonderfully helpful and made us feel right at home instantly. The room itself was fabulously decorated although an older style building Tracey had done an amazing job with the decor. It has laundry facilities which Peter kindly popped in to make sure we had no trouble operating.   The owners were very helpful and friendly. Although the motel was quite old it was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Apart from the usual jug and tea and coffee making, there was a toaster and microwave which was useful. The bathroom although very small had huge bath sheets and the shower had plenty of hot water. From the pictures it looks... wat mensen zeggen » as though there would be larger bathrooms.The reverse cycle air con worked efficiently and there were electric blankets on the bed. A very generous s - I was hesitant to use this Motel as some reviews were bad but decided to judge for myself. I found it to be good value for money. I wasn't expecting 5 star but I did expect it to be clean and comfortable which it was. When I checked in the lady was friendly. I'm happy with what I got for the money spent.

  Being temporarily disabled I was more than pleased to see hand rails in the shower. I feel there should be at least one in EVERY shower every where. The Alfred has been our favored place to stay for many years and never fails to disappoint except for once when there were no vacancies and that was our fault.
