The marriot was in an exceptional location for shopping and sights. The sole purpose of going was these 2 things so it was perfect for our needs.
Situated right on riverwalks door and part of the rivercentre what more could you need.
This hotel is also just a 10 minute walk to the alamo where you can see part of USAs history -

This is an old, historic hotel. As such, it has charm, character,
elegance and comfort but do not expect modern amenities. For example,
the older wing has only one small elevator. This is not a hotel
appropriate for families, but great for couples, business travelers and

different from cookie cutter hotel chains.

The rm was very spacious and had a great view of the riverwalk. The bed was very comfortable. We had trouble with the first rm; the key card wouldn't work but front desk apologized and was very helpful with giving us another rm. -

The location is the key factor, actually next door to the Alamo and very close to the Riverwalk area and the Mall. Felt safe to walk in these areas even late at night. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is a standard room in an old historic hotel, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast that was included was good. I liked the location of the hotel. It's very centrally located by the Rivercenter and other attractions that we were able to walk everywhere we needed. The hotel staff was friendly and the room was better than we had expected. Our overall experience was great. -

We loved the staff. Their personalities and there willingness to go out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much for them no matter what you needed or asked. I cant say enough of wonderful things about this people. Everything was in walking distance of the Riverwalk. The rooms were large

Spacious and well designed room, pleasantly furnished and equipped with modern TV, microwave oven and refrigerator. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was limited but satisfying. Many major tourist attractions and convention center are within walking distance.. Excellent value. Ample parking space.

The young man at the front desk was wonderful, I believe his name tag said Eric Rodriguez. We had many questions about San Antonio and wanted to make sure we went to children friendly places. He was a wonderful help, and very, very polite. The room was spacious and comfortable. Having the microwave and refrigerator in the room worked out wonderfully for the little ones. We were there for two days, it was wonderful. I will definitely stay again when I return to San Antonio!

My wife and I have just returned from a 3 week touring vacation of
southern states in the U.S. 1 night of which we spent at the Fairfield
Inn & Suites San Antonio Downtown.

Upon arrival at the hotel, the valet parking guys were eager to assist, after driving for 7-8 hours, a welcome sight. T -
Staff was excellent. When checking out, I discovered that I had left my
credit card at a eatery on the river the night before. The young lady at
the desk was very helpful in helping me track down the name of the
restaurant and calling them to locate my card. The manager had my card
and she arranged for me to meet him and pick it up. Thank you for your
extra effort in resolving what could have been a very inconvenient
exercise of credit card replacement.

The river walk, old buildings the tower of America was beautiful in the
evening to look at the city the food wasn't all that great but they
had a great staff and great wine list. -

The customer service was wonderful. People are wanting to help and you can see they are trying their very best.
