If you are looking for luxurious, high class, this is not the place
for you. However, this hotel is the perfect place to stay in dc. It
has nice, basic rooms, very clean and provides all that is required.
Most importantly, it is in a great location, being very close to all
the popular tourist destinations. There is a fun bar in the lobby, and
the cafe provides a decent, well priced breakfast. I thoroughly
recommend this one.

Great location! Very well insulated room, very quiet and clean. Very good bed. Upon arrival we asked the young lady at the desk for a nice bistro around, and she referred us to a very special place close to the hotel where we really enjoyed organic food and the most pleasant ambiance for a couple of meals. She took the time with the nicest smile.

Location is great for sight seeing. We were able to walk to everything and Metro is half block away if needed. Staff was very friendly and had nice recommendations for places to eat. The staff were courteous and helpful. Liked the Starbucks down on the ground floor. Loved the fact it was above Metro Center and around the corner from the White House, Spy Museum, Crime Museum and some high street brands plus Macy's across the street. Also within walking distance to Chinatown and restaurants. Very central and accessible because of subway below.
Good breakfast. appreciated the fact it had free laundry room use - very important as we were on the road for a month.

Stayed here for 4 nights in late May. The staff are excellent and like most things make the difference between a good/bad customer experience and an excellent one. We are experienced travellers (all over the world) and found the staff across the board very helpful and courteous.

Room with a view of the city. Friendly and helpful staff. Refrigerator snd microwave facilities in room. All day free tea and coffee. Overall goods facilities in room and spacious room. I liked that breakfast was included in the price of the room. Will recommend to people wanting to explore the city. Good choice of restaurants a few minutes' walk away.

The building itself is magnificent - harks back to a more refined time. We were a group of 5 "mature" college girlfriends, having our every-other-year reunion. en route to Hawaii. Given room upgrade not quite a suite but corner room views both ways. Biggest chocolate strawberrys/and cake and cream ive ever seen as a special gesture and free. staff and conciege extra polite and helpful.As previous comments this is a luxury standard by which all others should be judged the besr hotel we have stayed in and weve stayed in some top ones. the hotel is steeped in history take the trouble to enquire????
