-clean towels , rooms, linen etc- very clean in general.

Hotel 140 is located only a 5-minute walk from the rear exit of Back Bay Railroad Station. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. I followed the drive where the local buses pull into Back Bay Station right out to Clarendon Street and bore left. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel. The location of this hotel is very good for the tourist. Downtown Boston is not vast ares so during my 2-day tour in the city I didn't use any transportation, merely on foot. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the starting point of the freedom trial, and along the famous trial I could see everything I wanted to see.

Comfortable, fast and convenient for Boston Marathon.
Staff really stepped up to help serve those who decided to remain in the hotel in the aftermath of the marathon bombings. Even the doorman was working to bus tables at the very busy restaurant!

Location was great! Its a very historical building and its been updated. On the first night, there was banging like someone was using a hammer at 9pm and I called the front desk and it stopped! Also, the door man was such a delight...helped get our car, load the car, offered help with directions, even gave our son some small toys! -

The staff were excellent at this hotel. Very helpful, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and functional. The concierge Anita was particularly helpful, attentive and was very personable. Free wifi, water and snacks on arrival and coffee is a nice touch and the breakfast was varied and plentiful.

Loved the Inn itself. The design and decor were beautiful. My husband and I got the One Bedroom Suite and it was so spacious with a fully stocked kitchen (yes, you can cook an enitre meal), comfortable bed as well as furnishings. Large, good looking and comfortable room with a very good bed and convenient kitchen equipment. Nice location in the heart of the Back Bay area of Boston.
Very nice and friendly crew, particularly understanding and caring when we exposed our noise problem in the first room we were assigned.
The small breakfast room remains accessible at all time in the day enabling us to grab a tea or a coffee whenever we felt like having one.

The Kendall has a welcoming and helpful staff. They loaned us an

The locality to the city of Boston was nice, it is a walkable city. The staff was fantastic. We were able to park at the hotel at 9am knowing the check-in might need to wait until 4pm so we didn't need to find parking. The A/C in one of our rooms didn't work so we got a break on the parking. -

The staff was absolutely great. Lisa was extremely helpful upon check in and when she heard thw news of our concert being postponed was just as great if not more. We stayed for the Boston Marathon. We wanted a family friendly and nice
hotel with a kitchen within a reasonable walking distance from the
events. This was exactly what we got. The staff were extremely nice, as
are all Bostonians incidentally. The Breakfast buffet was a nice
surprise and well done. The pool, although small, was plenty of fun for
the kids and just as new and clean as the rest of the hotel.
