  Great small boutique hotel. Privately owned & operated. Both owners there. Service was superb. Facilities were spotless, really nice & quiet. Breakfast included in their wonderful restaurant. Great location with plenty of history and restaurants close. Highly recommend especially to couples looking for quiet get away.   Location was really nice. And the facilities in this hostel were fantastic! Bathroom is for private use( Everyone can use it but it was a solitary space). Simultaneously, there are lots of them so I could use it whenever I want. Best part of this hostel is the bed itself. Bed was really comfortable.   Hotel 140 was a great place to stay for me. I was traveling alone and it was located just a block from the train station. The front desk was great to help me in directions of the city. Very friendly staff. Also after I left and was at the train station having a hard time figuring out which way to go, a young man asked if he could help. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel.   The location of this hotel is very good for the tourist. Downtown Boston is not vast ares so during my 2-day tour in the city I didn't use any transportation, merely on foot. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the starting point of the freedom trial, and along the famous trial I could see everything I wanted to see.   Location was great! Its a very historical building and its been updated. On the first night, there was banging like someone was using a hammer at 9pm and I called the front desk and it stopped!   Good location, excellent concierge staff, didn't go to the pool/gym area so unable to comment. It suited it's purpose - we have 4 kids and it was cheaper to rent this apartment than pay out for 3 hotel rooms which we had originally booked.
