Located just 5 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park, this non-smoking Swiss-inspired Estes Park mountain inn offers uniquely-decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi. A restaurant is located on site. A flat-screen TV, microwave and small refrigerator are provided in each air-conditioned room and suite at Appenzell Inn. Select suites offer a kitchenette, fireplace or spa bath. Strudels Café, bar and restaurant is open seasonally from June through October. Swiss, Italian and American cuisine is served for breakfast and dinner. Expansive gardens with 2 waterfall ponds, a picnic and BBQ area and a walking trail are located on site. Hiking and snowshoeing opportunities are located nearby. Shopping and dining in Estes Park Village is half a mile away. Stanley Park is 1 mile away.

I would highly recommend Appenzell Inn. The staff was cordial and helpful. The room was recently updated and very much like hotel decor from Switzerland. The indoor pool was super clean, warm, and very enjoyable. We will be returning in the months ahead with family visitors to Estes Park. I loved EVERYTHING! The room was so comfortable and clean, just like being at home! Even my husband slept well!! The location was great, close to town and the park, just what we were looking for. Wish I had longer to stay there.

The quiet and peaceful setting as we were in the back of the property. Loved the fireplace! Loved the decor...looked like a Swiss Inn. Loved the jet tub in the room. Fabulous location just outside the RMNP. The view of the mountains, the decor and many extra features in the room - soaking tub, kitchenette, dining area, fireplace. Rooms were very clean and cozy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Grounds were kept up very well. Excellent rooms in a motel ideally placed for exploration of the Rocky Mountain national Park. The beds were very comfortable and loved the shower! Was in a great location. I like the quaint room. Very intimate. location location location. Rooms as shown in pictures. How close it was to town. Jessie at the front desk. I had difficulty with the chair when the murphy bed was down. Small space was a bit challenging but we were able to work with it. The lack of water pressure in the shower and the low mounting of the shower head. Hotel entrance was hidden behind trees which made it easy to miss when coming from town. No ice machine, got a sandwich size bag when requested ice. Europeans beware! This is not an "Inn" with food and drink. The accommodation is essentially self-catering and you need to drive to all local restaurants. It remains to be seen of the new owners will make something of the next door "pub" - but its offerings and opening times are not currently advertised in the Inn. The Inn's 'breakfasts' were no more than a few packaged goods to be collected from the office and taken back to your room. Didn't like that there was no view and the shower curtin had mold om it. Also when you showered it smelt like mildew. The towels were rough! Everything else was nice. disappointed in the room view. some of the rooms had GREAT views.. wish we would have had one of those. Not knowing that entire property was smoke free with a $250 fine if found smoking outside with immediate eviction. They were switching management so the computers were down and the restaurant was closed. I liked everything. One of the reasons we chose this location was the indoor pool. When we checked in we were informed that the pool had been closed for awhile because the pump was out. Since pumps are universally available within the usa, as is air shipment, we assumed it was closed to save money and were very disappointed. Had we known the pool was closed we could have stayed at several other, equally convenient places for 1/3 less money. We were very disappointed.
