Everything, it was clean and looked freshly painted! Info about Asheville that was located in the room was wonderful, very useful and we visited one of the restaurants described and it was amazing. Oatmeal in hot pot was great!!! -

The breakfast was all we needed to start the day and gave us a time and money savings. The view from the motel is beautiful but then again it is Asheville. The value the staff offered on the Biltmore 2-day package was the way to go! We extended our stay and the staff allowed at at the same rate...but forgot to OK our keys...no big deal. The staff also helped with a short cut into town. I give the staff hig grades

The staff was friendly, all shifts. Great location for me - a few minutes from both downtown and from UNC Asheville. The immediate area around the hotel was mostly high density commercial - chain restaurants, chain hotels, a shopping mall, etc. but since the hotel was set back a good distance from the main road it was still quite quiet. Nice location, one block walk from Asheville mall. Nice comfortable king bed with nice bedding and soft pillows. Very quiet if you want to sleep in. We were on the end room beside the elevator and heard absolutely no one on a very busy weekend. Everyone was friendly and there's coffee and cookies in the lobby 24 hours a day. Nice stay

This hotel was absolutely fabulous. The hospitality was over the top. This get together was for a very special occasion, and everyone involved was thrilled with the service from this hotel. Breakfast was quite good. Staff was excellent. Shuttle service within 5 miles a spectacular perk. Clean room with frig. ,microwave , free wi-fi, flat screen tv,and clean equipped bathroom. They have coffee and tea around the clock and fresh cookies every evening. This was an A+

My husband and I were just passing thru Asheville enroute to Wilmington, NC so we liked the ease of access off of I-40,the price, friendly staff and good free breakfast. We were given an upgrade upon arrival and had a king-suite which was quite nice and spacious. -

Loved the nice warm cozy feel of the hotel. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was pretty good. I loved that they had fresh cookies and apples every day at the front, and the staff was amazing and very nice. They made you feel like family. "Fresh remodel" is the best way to describe the accomodations. My bed was very comfortable, there was fresh paint on the walls, and the furniture sparkled. The remodel seemed to be in full swing, there were friendly and personable workers around the property. The footprint of the bathroom had been increased, so you could tell travellers' delicate sensibilities were considered. Yes, there was some construction underway, but it wasn't a hindrance. Breakfast was good. Housekeeping supervisor was courteous and willing to please, she went out of her way to ensure that needs were met. Front desk person was helpful and knowledgeable about the area. -

Even though it rained and was a dreary weekend, the atmosphere inside the Inn was cosy and warm. There was plenty to do and a variety of places to eat right there and once we parked we didn't have to get out and drive around in the pouring rain to keep ourselves fed and entertained. The Grove Park Inn has a spectacular huge entrance with massive fireplaces--looks like the big lodges in National Parks. The old part of the Inn is historic and the setting is lovely in the mountains and on a beautiful golf course. The staff was very friendly and helpful for the most part. The full breakfast buffett is huge and rather expensive but you also can get less expensive food in the shop areas. The grounds are very well kept.

VERY nice staff and the owner waited up for us to arrive through a bad storm. I got what we needed: a low budget place that included a refrigerator and microwave. I am glad the owner is going to update the hotel. This is very convenient to downtown Asheville, only 10 min drive to UNC Asheville, and easily accessible to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The

Rooms were clean, roomy, decorating was a bit overdone and busy. When we
asked why the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't seem to be working,
someone eventually explained that the exhaust fan was on the roof and
vented all the floors at once. It was very quiet and very efficient.
When we decided to stay an extra night, the hotel gave us a better rate
