  Everything about the Hotel is first class. From the moment we checked in the staff are so friendly and very professional everything was excellent. It was my birthday and we had chocolates left in the room and also a nice touch there had been placed a hot water bottle in the bed. Never had that before.   A beautiful hotel in a great location. A warm and friendly atmosphere. Very helpful hosts. Lovely rooms, and a fantastic view from the coniston room which we stayed in.   The staff were very friendly , welcoming and always ready to help. The location , set in woods and hills above Lake Windermere , is fantastic. As for the hotel , it had character and charm , with some very appealing features. The food was excellent. - Attention to detail and being made extremely welcome

  Complimentary upgrade - would have been thrilled by any of their rooms. For a romantic break it is heavenly. BEST breakfast - extra touches much appreciated. Will definitely be going back. - A wonderful hotel! Loved the room, bed & spa bath. Had a fabulous stay & would highly recommend this hotel. Fabulous breakfast & location too!
