  The location is superb and the view from our room looking downriver from the village was inspiring. Robert Owen's principles should be compulsory r - We checked in to New Lanark Hotel for one night and were upgraded to one of the Waterside, two-bedroom, self-catering cottages. It was a fabulous location, right on the water. The sound of the river was constant, but a lovely and soothing sound. If you don't want to hear the water, this is not the place to be!   We loved the proximity of all services: bar, restaurant and ferry. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the whole experience was lovely and relaxing. A clean, well-finished accommodation which I'd love to visit again. - We were there to celebrate my mum's 70th birthday and the staff were very friendly.
