Good distance from the - It was our first trip with our 6 week old baby - the hotel could not have been more welcoming! As it is a high standard of formal dining offered at the hotel we were uncomfortable taking our baby in to the dining room, the staff set up a small private dining experience for us so we could still have a lovely dinner but not disturb other guests! We were exceptionally well looked after throughout our stay. The hotel is traditionally furnished without feeling stuffy - all the staff were helpful and

  Excellent value for money. Room was small and basic but also clean and comfortable exactly what we needed. Restraunt and bar facilities have recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Full Scottish breakfast served with tea or coffee was excellent and a massive portion.   The hotel was in a lovely location, a perfect break before travelling further into Scotland. The welcome was genuinely friendly and all staff were very helpful. Although not included in the price of room our £8 Full Scottish breakfast was plentiful and the Haggis was lovely. Rooms were very comfortable having been recently updated, contemporary, stylish, clean and with the oak skirting boards and door jambs etc - the location was stupendous and we had probably the best room in the hotel for the view - the room was both spacious and comfortable and kept spotlessly clean - many of the staff were young but very professional and polite - the hotel itself was very quirky in its layout but we kind of liked that - the food we had at t-he hotel was OK nothing really to complain about but also nothing exceptional - the cullen skink however was delicious - however if we stay here again we will be mindful of the c

  We were placed in Room 5 - what an fantastic room - thankyou, just a simple point but it displays the friendliness of your reception personnel. My wife and myself went to breakfast. We then met some friends who were residents in the hotel who had missed breakfast. The gentleman on reception arranged tea and toast for which there was no charge.
