We Booked into the Glenesk hotel for just a few nights in February 2013 as I was viewing property in this lovely area, (which I luckily got) and reading the on-line reviews liked the look of it.

From the moment of arrival, the welcome was amazing, they bent over backwards to ensure we were comfortable, well fed, and relaxed. Great staff, great feel, has to be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, and due to business, I stay in a lot of hotels! They really did have the personal touch! Was a bit wary given the bad reviews, but this was a fantastic experience. Lovely old castle with modern facilities, friendly staff, peaceful location with large grounds, huge beds, superb breakfast, and the gym and pool facilities were top class. Great value for money. - Attended a birthday party at a function suite close to Ardo House

While we were in the modern section of the hotel our room was generous, furnished to a high standard and had a splendid river view. Staff were very friendly and pleasant and the check in and out took hardly any time at all.
Location was perfect for union street. We got parked outside the door (£4.00 for 2hrs if it is between 8am and 8pm)
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was quiet so we had an excellent night's sleep.

Ben on reception was very friendly and welcoming and obviously very good at his job. Loved the location, conveniently located just off Union St (passing an Oddbins en route) and really only a 5 minute walk from the train station. A very quiet location too...had a good night's sleep.

The room was large, comfortable, and very well furnished. We only had the breakfast meal at the hotel but it was excellent and the service was quick and efficient. - T

Everything was excellent. Staff friendly and accommodating, room immaculate, bed comfortable, bathroom immaculate - lovely big bath - plenty of hot water. Absolutely delighted with the hotel and I've already recommended it to others. - Hotel was clean and the staff were very attentive. Would stay there agina and recommend it to friends.

I liked everything about the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, nothing is too much bother. The rooms are comfortable and clean as is the beds. Adjustable mattress beds, air conditioning, non slip floor in bathroom, sprinkler system, large walk in shower with controls easily accessible and not beside rain shower head. Staff friendly and professional. Late check out not a problem. Money off breakfast voucher.

The hotel staff were very pleasant, helpful and efficient. The decor was impressive and very interesting. The room was lovely, modern, clean and well presented. Reception staff were very helpful and lovely, easy to get on with. Room was beautiful, very nice decor. Bathroom was spotless, facilities in room were superb! Bed was a good size with comfortable bedding, television was perfect location. Lighting was optional! Fast free wifi service was a boost. Hotel as a whole was absolutely stunning. Overall excellent service and stay! Will defs be staying again.

The staff were extremely helpful on arrival and arranged for my bags to be carried to my room. The breakfast was excellent and the next morning the receptionist remembered who I was and asked how I had enjoyed the wedding I had been attending.
