Extremely friendly and accomodating service - very relaxed and made you feel at home. Very good quality food. Lovely clean room with exposed brick walls and nicely chosen dark wood furniture. Staff were very welcoming & helpful.
After a late return @ the Bell Inn in the night , we had a knock @1000 am to see if We still want breakfast ( served till 1000 am)
It was much appreciated as otherwise We would have missed it. Staff were all very friendly & welcoming. The Room was cosy & clean & plenty of electric heater to keep the room warm as it is an old style "cottagy" room. Loads of character.

staff very friendly ,nothing was to much trouble .We enjoyed the evening meals on offer for a two star we thought the restaurant had a good choice on the menu .Plus we had to go out before breakfast one morning and a very nice breakfast box including sandwiches ,fruit ,yogurts ,crisp,and orange juice was produced to us before leaving.

Location of the hotel in the town centre. The room was lovely (albeit
with a small bed). The staff were very freindly and happily provided
details of places to visit and even photcopied some maps for us. Just so
future visitors know the local tourist information office has closed
down so prepare in advance. We felt the atmosphere of the hotel matched
the area and was great value for money. We would stay there again.

From the minute we checked in, the service was friendly, polite, simply wonderful. We booked a better room (3 stories) which felt like a mini hideaway with the bathroom spread over one floor with the most delectable products. The bed and bedding was Devine and hard to leave! Dinner that evening also surpassed our expectations and the crab bisque was one of the best I've ever had. Truly the best break from London imaginable and we can't wait to go back!

Surprisingly large room. Comfortable bed with choice of pillows. Beefeater restaurant had excellent quality food, good choices and excellent service. Overall good value. The bathroom was impeccably clean and the whole building looked well cared for. The countryside location would be very attractive in Spring and summer. Plenty of parking. -

The location is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Slaughters Country Inn and the tranquil surroundings of what is a stunning village. The staff were very welcoming, very friendly and attentive throughout the stay. Our room, in the main building, had beautiful views over the rear garden and ponds.
