Great location in central York, also one of the only hotels that allow one-night only booknigs. The rooms were lovely, great bathrooms all newly refurbished and airy. I left my sat-nav on show in my car, they even phoned me while I was out to let me know and then went to my room found my car keys and got it out for me! Would definitely stay here ag
... cosa dice la gente » ain. - This is the second time we have stayed at Hotel 53. Its location is excellent, close to all the local amenities and attractions. The hotel staff are extremely helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is very good and I would really recommend this hotel.

Blown away by the plush, stylish apartment. We visited York with my parents & this 2-bedroom apartment suited us much better than two separate hotel rooms, as it provided a social space (kitchen, dining table, sofas and TV)
Incredibly convenient for walking to key places in York; train station, the Shambles, the Minster and, highlight of the trip for my husband, the National Rail Museum.
The lovely Heather at reception is also wonderfully helpful :)

I stayed here while visiting my daughter who lives in York and I found this hotel to be lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly. At the bar the service was excellent and the breakfast (a buffet) had something for everyone's taste. The hotel was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. I had a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the road, a nightclub across from it, but it didn't bother my nights sleep in the least. The shower was lovely (a walk in shower) and very roomy. The staff/owners were great, really friendly and very informative... the room was well equipped with shower and toilet etc and was very clean, bed was comfortable.
Tea and coffee making facilities were good and television was well sized.

The location is a ten minute walk to the centre of York and permits are provided to enable you to park outside the hotel. We had a downstairs bedroom with en-suite very comfortable and because the Farthings is situated in a quiet street this was a benefit of having a good nights sleep. The staff were very friendly and and were helpful in giving local information. The cleanliness of the rooms are spot on and they provided a wonderful menu for breakfast, we would definatley recommend this gem of

The Guy Fawkes Inn is such a great place, the location is spot-on for a stay in York, the place is steeped in history and the rustic charm of the inn is amazing, you feel like you've travelled back in time once you step through the door, but in a good way :)
The staff are amazing, very professional and very friendly, you feel at home straight away.
The rooms are great, very clean and comfortable with great facilities.
The food is outstanding! Presentation is awesome and it tastes amazing.
