The location was ideal even walking up the rather steep hill became bearable after a couple of times. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were excellent and the owners went out of their way to welcome you and had a pleasant manner. We respected the other guests in the hotel and likewise. Everybody when coming home at night (regardless of time) was courteous and respected other guests staying. Fiona the host was very friendly and had a good knowledge of the area offering advice and tips of where to eat and giving directions to local places.
We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable, the en-suite was small but cleaned every day and breakfast was excellent with a selection of fruits, yoghurts, cereals, fruit juices and a full cooked English made to order.
There was a TV in the room, which was very handy when faced with our good old wet, English weather.

The hostess, Fiona, was incredibly friendly and helpful. She made us feel at home. The rooms were excellent (we had opted for a double room as well as a twin bedroom for my wife and I and our son and a close friend of ours); the bed and accessories clean. We would love to go back to Chapel House again.

The BB was centrally located. The staff couldn't do enough to help, they even dried our clothes after a very wet bike ride. The breakfast was good on both days. Great stay.

It wasn't too much of a problem but there was no mirror In the bedroom, so couldn't see when drying hair etc.

Breakfast is served only up to 9.30am!!! which for people who are on vacation can be too early.
The water pressure in the shower was too low. And the flow is a trickle.
Room was exceptionally small. Virtually all space was used up by the bed, if you want to open a suitcase you have got to jump over the bed in order to get to the other side. However the whole house feels tiny and if you are prepared for it it's really comfy.
