Dila Suites was perfect. Deniz and Ali, the owners, are wonderful people: generous, kind, and extremely helpful. Deniz makes a wonderful breakfast, helped us with all our restaurant and hammam bookings, gave us sunblock and water and travel cards, and was just generally great. Dila Suites itself is beautiful, clean, and has a lovely roof for breakfast and lounging. The location is great -- in Beyoglu, 2 minutes from Istikal Caddesi, a nice walk from Galata tower.

This is a fantastic hotel if you want to stay in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul. The hotel is a few minutes walk to all the sights and in a quiet street. The staff are all excellent and very kind and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and the view on the terrace is great. The rooms are comfortable and the cleaning staff are meticulous! Ask for a room with a water view if you can!

The rooms at Tophane Aparts, are excellent and definitely above other hotels in the same price range. The staff were very accomodating, allowing us to check in early after a long flight from SA. The wonderful hotel in the heart of ancient town. We lived in apartments - it was great. Good heated room, super friendly staff (more friendly than in 5 stars hotels!!!!. 3-4 min to shopping area and 4-5 min to good small buffets and stores. Excellent !!!

Very good apartments. Clean rooms with new furniture: beds for adults and a child, wardrobe, table, chairs, etc. Kitchen corner, frige, gas cooker, cups, plates, and utensils.The apartmants are in the old part of Istanbul, 20-25 min walk to Hagia Sophia. 5 min to the sea embankment, a fish market and fish restaurants. Frendly personnel fluent in English and Russian (special thanks to Yildiz!).
Very well for family tourism.
