  The reception man was soooooo friendly. He helped us so much. I told him that i was very tired from my flight and he let me check in 7:00 a.m instead of 2:00 p.m and he let me eat breakfast all of this for no extra charge. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!
