The rooms at Tophane Aparts, are excellent and definitely above other hotels in the same price range. The staff were very accomodating, allowing us to check in early after a long flight from SA. Don't be put off by the buildings in the area, the hotel was the best we stayed in, throughout our trip to Turkey. -

test English speaking ability as we speak Turkish. The apartment gave us
more than enough space for luggage, etc. compared to the typical
boutique hotels in the area. The location was convenient to Tophane tram

Though the - We were in a top floor apartment with a nice terrace. Clean, spacious, newly redone. Lots of light. Good A/C. Very quiet with windows closed. Very nice overall. Well situated with regard to tram stops and the Tunel funicular. Not a bad walk over the Galata Bridge to the old city. Some excellent fish places near the bridge. Me and my husband had an absolutely fantastic treat from the time we got to the hotel to the time we took off again. The atmosphere was super nice, quiet and comfortable and we felt at home from the very 1st second we entered the door where Emir welcomed us. We booked a rather large room so we enjoyed the spacy room.
