Amaya Lake Dambulla gets 5 stars from me. We booked the standard chalets
and were upgraded to Luxury Rooms without even requesting. They
accomodated our request for an early check in at 6am, 7hrs before check
in time. I celebrated my bday in this beautiful resort and they arranged

Also do not miss the spa, I only got the Lower Limb massage and it was
soo goo -
We had a very relaxing two days stay at the facility. There was some
initial confusion where the hotel mistakenly put us up in a lower
category room than what we had booked but this was quickly resolved when
we highlighted later and were given an upgrade to the luxury suite.
Overall good service levels although I would expect more consistency and
speed as it sometime appeared a bit lackluster. Good choices in their
restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Spa could improve their
infrastructure but

The hotel was in very close proximity to the rock so you could walk to the rock to climb and to the museum,the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Rock Fortress( can be seen from hotel) & Dambulla Cave Temple.
Definitely worth seeing. Reasonably priced. Also on way to Sigiriya
before Dambulla are Spice Gardens.

You get the cutest, sexiest own hut. Impeccable design, clean and comfy. With your own pool and a fun outdoor bathtub. Blends in with nature.

Everything - this was luxury at its' best! However, one must be a
nature lover and be prepared to share your villa with the wildlife. The
food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and very efficient.
We celebrated our Wedding anniversary whilst there and it was really
romantic and perfect. Paradise!

Nice cabanas, lovely bathroom, everything worked as it should have, pity we only got to stay for a very short time and didnt have a chace to enjoy the pool or the spa, both looked amazing. The food was also great and the staff very helpful without organizing a safari within 30 minutes of our arrival.

This was excellent value for money. My brother and I had a nice airy room that was very clean with a good verandah at the front. The surrounding area was tropical and the place central for visits to the ancient cities.The staff were friendly, the food good and a reasonable price. The guesthouse was driver friendly too which was important for us..

The forest garden outside our rooms - tranquil and a buzz with wildlife made for a relaxing night.The rooms are comfortable but not flash.Our host took our washing and it was returned the next morning.We arrived on a Sunday night.Being a Catholic owner, little was happening in the area / hotel. a delightful stop. Friendly and helpful staff, individual bungalows ensures privacy and quietness, excellent sized rooms and cleaned daily. Lovely touches on the bed at night with flowers etc. Food was great esp. buffet. Good sized pool.
