One of the cleanest hotels where I have stayed in Sri Lanka. Since it was the first I was surprised at the bathroom but they are almost like that everywhere in Sri Lanka: small and not modern. They give you a glass of fresh juice in the morning together with the sri Lank -
this was my second time I stayed at the saffron. first time i came for my business and i had a good time in my first stay. that is why i decided to come second time with my wife to stay in the saffron. we had a very good time and my wife was very happy. we got a nice room with antique furniture. and hotel staff arranged city tour. it was really nice. we enjoyed in the beach and could see nice places. food also really nice. we could arranged a trip to kandy with a hotel car. everything was good.

Awesome staff, really nicely designed rooms, many friendly guest. The
hostel is located on Galle Road really close to Majestic City, so it is
very central. The price is amazing, I would definately recommend this to
all backpackers who need a cheap but nice place to stay. It just opened

Colombo City Hostel may be the best hostel I have stayed at so far! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the manager Kathleen is super-organised and always into planning fun activities. The Hostel is extremely clean and tidy, located close to a supermarket and bank and only a short tuktuk ride away from everything in Colombo (and the beach!).
