Lovely location right next to the Catheral in the old town. Hotel was a typical parador - a beautiful old building lovely turned into a hotel. We ate in the restaurant and it was excellent - I highly recommend the foie gras and the duck! -

Very helpful at reception! Accommodated our request for a third night even though the hotel was full for San Mateo! Outstanding service from the staff. The hotel is very clean and apparently recently renovated. We requested a handicapped room for my dad once we arrived and the staff kindly accepted our last-minute request. First, we were greeted with the most warm welcome. The front desk staff are very helpful and eager to please. The room was large but the bathroom was on the small side. The room they allocated us had two twin beds that was a little too soft for our liking. They moved us to a room with a King bed that was really nice and comfy. Location is good for exploring the wine region.
