Staff at Reception was extremely helpful and friendly.
As I was travelling alone, the fact that the room was so close to reception, was great.
The lodge is located superbly - close to town, but still with all the lovely views of the mountains (which was covered with snow the next morning)! -

The staff was exceptional and the place is absolutely stunning. Apart from the bathroom the rooms are cosy and comfortable (and well equipped). The atmosphere is relaxed which we enjoyed very much. Also the public bathroom had individual little towels rolled up an thus you get a clean towel every time. -

Loved the pool and pool deck, my upstairs room with the beautiful terrace overlooking the mountains, the large shower, the complimentary sherry in the room (didn't last long!) and -mostly- Forest, the gorgeous Great Dane, a real gentle giant of a dog. - The staff is very friendly and there's an excellent service. Amazing breakfast.
Very nice and comfortable rooms.
Very nice staff, Hardy knows all the nice winehouses to go to for winetastings.
Furthermore they also know a lot about the country in general and have good tips on places to go and see.

What's not to like?
The hotel is in the one of the most beautiful spots you've ever seen - surrounded by mountains on every side.
Even though it was freezing at night, the room was nice and cosy and warm.
Comfortable bed, huge spa-bath, extremely well-priced accommodation - oh and for breakfast we had the best bacon I've ever had.

The owners and staff of this Guest House made us very welcome. The room was furnished to a high standard and all the facilities were immaculately maintained. Gwen & Johan were incredibly helpful, and offered lots of recommendations both for restaurants and (most importantly for us) wine tours! Indeed, we hadn't even checked in and had made the online reservation a couple of hours earlier and they were helping us book a wine tour!

On arrival our welcome was so friendly
and warm and we felt at home straight away. Beautiful gardens and building, with fine rooms. Our bedroom was stunning - large comfortable and a fab balcony.All the staff were great and did so much to make our stay perfect. Reserved supper, spoilt us when we sat by the tranquil swimming pool. Perfection. Loved our stay and thought the beach basket with towels was a wonderful addition.
