  We were received by Gene with a wonderful smile, vastly compensating the tiring flight from Europe. She made our week-long stay a memorable experience. The breakfast was great. "Our house" had two bedrooms, one living room, a fully-equipped kitchen, etc, just for the two of us.   Gwen & Johan were incredibly helpful, and offered lots of recommendations both for restaurants and (most importantly for us) wine tours! Indeed, we hadn't even checked in and had made the online reservation a couple of hours earlier and they were helping us book a wine tour! Very passionate hosts who love to receive guests from all over the world.

  The room we had was quite basic and a bit older, but had everything we needed and was comfortable, with fresh towels and linens, and a nice view into the town. Also the owner, Arno, was very friendly and helped us with some plans and offered great tips - Excellent location; smack in the middle of the town center. The owner (arno Zacharias who looks like a rock star) & his staff were all accommodating & professional. They helped me plan small trips in & around stunning Stellenbosch. Ah, everybody should not miss the wine route! Room was kept immaculate. Breakfast was adequate. Arno was kind enough to offer me a lift back to the train station for capetown. Thanks! I will definitely stay here again. I really liked the welcoming spirit.

  Everything was really really great - excellent service, good and diverse breakfast, very helpful and kind staff. We had a beautiful room on the ground floor with terrace, which was perfect for relaxation. The house is surrounded by greenery and in a calm neighbourhood, only a 10-minute walk from the Stellenbosch center. If you are attending a conference in Spier (or somewhere close), it is o - Nice big rooms - the downstairs room have a small terrace so you can sit outside. The house has lovely wooden floors/victorian baths etc which give it character. Breakfast was simple but fresh. Ben was very very helpful responding to our every request very quickly and efficiently. This is a budget friendly option for staying in Stellenbosch. Next time I think I would stay somewhere closer to the restaurants in town.
