  I usually stay at the Waterfront and only chose the Taj out of neccesity because everyone else was full with Argus bookings. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is an excellent 5 star hotel at a fraction of the cost of some competitors. The city location is vibrant and interesting.   The hotel and staff extremely welcoming and friendly. The room exceeded my expectation and would happily recommend it to anyone going to Cape Town. Not only did I organise my own accommodation but booked for 12 other people as well and they all were extremely happy with the facilities staff location and enjoyed their time there. The rooms were practical, comfortable, modern, and affordable. It was like staying in a Hotel with the bonus of Table Mountain views from the bedroom and balcony.

  -Parking was clearly marked and in the basement of the building, very secure and free -In general the hotel is very secure needing your room card to access elevators and so on -The room was neat and clean all mod cons -Great big flat screen TV -Awesome comfortable extra length bed -Neat and modern bathroom -Ordered drinks from the bar area and req... cosa dice la gente » uested ice and so on and the staff were great -Had a modern alarm/fm radio/mp3 player in room which was cool, could pop my iPod -Ample plug points -D - Everything. From the time we checked until we left we were impressed with the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness and comfort of our room, and the food in the restaurant. The overall hotel premises are well maintained, and we would definitely recommend it. When Hilton take over in April 2013, we hope that they will continue to keep up the high standards of the present management.
