  Very nice and quiet family run hotel, with an accomodating and friendly staff. Probably the best hotel breakfast I have had, ever (and I travel a lot in business). A quite and nice neigbourhood, but only a 10 min walk to the more busy and noisy centre of Cape Town.   Spaciousness and layout of the room - Although the hotel was old (and currently being renovated) it was clean and comfortable, nothing particularly distressing. Breakfast was good, though it's debatable whether it's worth the R130 you can save if you choose not to have it.

We could get to anything--the mountains, shopping, the beach, and restaurants--in less than ten minutes. The staff was so nice to our whole family and very hospitable. The overall hotel premises are well maintained, and we would definitely recommend it. When Hilton take over in April 2013, we hope that they will continue to keep up the high standards of the present management.
