  My boyfriend and I booked a two night stay here on a trek through Marrakech. Having never been to the city before we didn't know much about location, ammenities or prices. Fortunately this place is like a diamond in the rough!!! This hotel is located close to the city train hub and in the heart of the "new city". There are many restaurants, bars and shopping right arou - The room was as described and everthing worked as it should. We arrived late, around 10.30pm, and we're told by reception that the restaurants in the area would be closed. Well, we walked outside and on the corner was a very busy simple style fish restaurant. It was really different and threw us straight into the local scene. Great choice of fish at very reasonable prices!   Found the reception staff to be really helpfull answering any questions I had about local facilities, excursions, etc. Check-in was fast and easy, rooms were kept clean by nice polite cleaning ladies, small grocery shop next door for basics, cafe's across the street, and only a few minutes walk to the bus stop (across from Macdonalds) where busses... cosa dice la gente » drop you right outside the main square for 4 dirhams- 30 pence ( kids under 6 go for free) - Our stay was excellent you know what you get with assonfou good size rooms fridge electric hob, toilets and shower are clean.   Nice hotel in the middle of Guerliz. Extremely friendly staff. One of our group had to go (unexpectedly) to the hospital at 22:00 hours. The directrice was so kind to drive us there and helped us in the hospital.
