Customer service at Pension Polaris was exceptional! Our host, Mr. Noh,
spoke some Englsih, which was really helpful. He offered to pick us up
at the Visitors' Information Center when we arrived at Gyeongju,
gave us a quick tour in his car, showed us how to get around town by
bus, and even took us to the supermarket.

Owner personally greeted us when we checked in. He speaks English very
well. He sat with us with a map and gave us the rundown of the most
efficient way to see the sites, since we were on a tight schedule. He
also gave us instruction sheets on how to get to the major attractions
(and back to the pension from said locations), with addresses in Korean
so you could show taxi drivers. Room was cozy, clean and uniquely
decorated (lots of bright colors!). Kitchenette was useful, bathroom was
standard

Mrs park and Mr Kung are ver friendly and accommodating. They were happy to drive us to and from the bus stop and had up-to-the-minute info on the buses and local attractions. Basically all the positive comments I read before booking are just true. I've travelled quite a lot and I don't remember many other places so welcoming and with such helpful and nice hosts as Mrs. Park.
My visit to Gyeongju was thanks to all her advise and help a very nice holiday.
About the distance to the city, one must know that in Gyeongju all the big hotels are also outside this small city and actually farther than this pension.

The owner is really helpful and you can use the facilities (kitchen and washing machine) for free. It's really important for us as we have been traveling for a few days and need to wash our clothing. Cute traditional house. Rooms are clean, well maintained with tv and
aircon. Its provided with korean futon and pillow stuffed with barley.
So you need to like sleeping on the floor! Kitchen is provided with
fridge, water, egg and bread which is really nice only 4 rooms available
so you feel almost like in a private house

Moon is the guesthouse manager and he's the kindest I've ever met. Here are the reasons:
1. Korea runs on a different mobile provider system so i didn't have network access at all. Moon lent me a mobile phone so that i could contact him for pickup.

Nice and friendly young boss! Location great! Very convenient. My family loves this place! Must visit Analpji pond at night, very beautiful pond reflection. Go by taxi back by foot to Sindal house. Location: it was close to the main center of Gyeonggu which means you did not have to travel far for the bus. Also, it was close to fast food, convenient stores, and some big hills that were nice to walk around at night.

The hostel was super close to shops, food and historical sites. The bus terminal was also within walking distance, and the entire area was foreigner friendly. The hostel itself was cosy and clean. It was like a little home away from home.

The owner and his wife were so kind and considerate. When he discovered I was learning Korean, he tried his best to encourage me to speak and even brought me to his local cafe for a meal, where nobody spoke English. His wife made the most wonderful breakfasts on both of the days I was there. If I ever travel to Gyeongju again, this is the house I would choose to stay in.
