The staff at Gion Maifukan could not have done enough to help us. They were attentive without being intrusive and after the first night moved us to a bigger room to accommodate the four of us.

This was one of the best hotels we stayed in Japan. The location was very easy, we just took the subway to reach Kokusaikaikan and the directions on the subway took us directly to the hotel. It was a very comfortable and nice room, with free internet. The buffet downstairs was very good for dinner and the surrounding environment was very nice and green. As my older daughter was in the room one day, they didn' t have oppurtinity to clean the room, so they presented us 500 JPY gift check for it.

The hotel is new and beautiful. My family were wowed when we came through into the reception. Even though it's not a large room, it's beautifully designed and put us at ease. As expected, space is a premium in Japan, but this hotel's plan for our deluxe room uses the space perfectly and with style. The location was great. In front of Kyoto station. There is a shopping mall at the next block (AEON), where there are many stores, and also Daiso (100-yen shop). The Toji temple was near from this hotel, as well as Kyoto Aquarium. To get to most temples, travelers have to take bus lines, that are just across Kyoto station. Staff friendly. Money exchange inside the hotel.

Our 2 nights-stay in the hotel was amazing. Our room was upgraded to a suite close to Gion Hatanaka. The suite was large, quiet and comfortable. We also enjoyed the kaiseki dinner as well as Geisha show. It was marvellous. The hotel staff was professional and helpful. They could communicate in English. I wish I could stay longer.

Staff were friendly and we tried to tip the valet, but she refused our money and later we were advised by Japanese friends that this is customary as hotel already charges tax. It was very honest of her. Also, family room was spacious and fantastic. -

Too many! We have a wonderful stay at Seikoro. We like almost everything there, loacation is perfect. We walked to lots visitor places nearby with our 2-year-old son. The breakfast was just like an art. The woman who service us names Hiro-san, we like her very much.... -

The hotel was excellent value for money and the buffet breakfast was extensive and delicious.
The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, with more space than expected.
The staff spoke good English and were very helpful.
The hotel also runs a frequent shuttle bus too and from the JR Kyoto train station which is very convenient. -

... cosa dice la gente » y polite and efficient. The Concierge was very helpful. There are not a lot of places to visit near to the hotel, but it is only a short walk to the stop for the bus to Gion. The hotel shuttle bus is great for getting to the station, from where you can get transport around the whole city.

Location right in Kyoto Train station but the room was very quiet. The staff were very polite and helpful with anything we needed. They even gave us recommendations and directions to the events we were looking for. The food was a bit expensive (if not included in the room) but convenient.
