Gora is a beautiful place to stay while in Hakone and the Merveille is a nice hotel.
The staff are warm, friendly and speaks English or tries their very best to assist you. The indoor onsen is great and has all you need to enjoy and relax in the hot pool. The breakfast was sumptuous and the amenities in the room was amazing. There was even a back

The hotel is not far from Gora Station but the weather in November is too cold to walk. Shuttle service is very convenient but you need to book both pick up and departure from hotel. Hotel staffs are very nice but they speak english very little. Convenient store is not far from hotel, just 5-10 mins walk. Room is spacious comparing to tokyo's room.

Onsen was great. Atmosphere. Very soothing and peaceful. Helps people to relax, breathe in the the freshest air ever and I could clearly over there. :)

Booked the tatami style room with breakfast & dinner. Great food (almost too much :P - check-in hungry!), extremely friendly service from arrival to departure. It was a little expensive but for the experience & a one-time splurge, it's well worth the money.

The private hot both and the ryokan beds. Our girls love them. Breakfast was yummy. The staff were very flexible. They exchange certain dishes which some of us don't eat.
