Cosa dice la gente
The location of the hotel was a major advantage - a 10 minute walk away from St Mark's Square, and all the shops that come in between. The staff were really friendly and cooperative. They even agreed to give us a light breakfast meal 45 minutes before it was actually due (we had to check out early). The room was spacious too and people who like the castle/old/medival style hotels will find this one good. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
The decor is lovely, it's hidden in a square so it was quiet, air
conditioner was on when we arrived, which was great as it was extremely
hot weather. Its not far from many good restaurants and the Grand Canal
is just a short walk down the alley.Breakfast was simple but good.
The location was excellent being near enough to San Marco and the Grand Canal but without the crowds. The hotel is set in a beautiful historic building which adds to the atmosphere of being in Venice. The day pass for the vaporetto was worth buying.
It was great to be in a hotel that felt typical of so many Venetian buildings, and it was in such a peaceful square . Very easy to get a vaporetto to any part of the grand canal and islands.
Incredibly good value in a usually very expensive city, Venice. Very
handy for the Biennale, the purpose of our trip. Pleasant and helpful
staff. Very well run and very clean.
We loved very much the location of the Hotel and the fact that it was very clean and comfortable.
It is near the Beinnela so this is a big plus.
Beautiful old building with outstanding architectural details set in a prime location near Piazza San Marco.
Charming hotel, gracious hosts, location near bustle and heart if Venice while on a relatively quiet square.
Wonderful reception area and room, like living in your own palace. Good
location overlooking small square.
Excellent location, beautiful public rooms, constant reception service.
Staff, cost-benefit great!!!
Great location and great price for Venice.
We liked the quiet location and proximity to good restaurants.
Very large room - a welcome surprise.
Great location and lovely room. beautiful villa with unique environment. The lady at the reception desk was nice and helpful.
Not far from water taxi. Arsenale stop should be included in the write up.
Location, Period lounge , bathroom.
A little too medival for me - and it was pretty expensive. A nice place nonetheless.
Very hard to find at first as directions are not great on site. Internet
didn't work in room.
Sadly the arrival of unbelievably huge cruise boats (the size of massive blocks of flats) makes Venice too crowded most of the time, and seems an inappropriate invasion given the fragile state of Venice.
Given the good value of this hotel in a city that regularly rips off
foreigners, absolutely no complaints at all.
Breakfast was a tad meager - the addition of some cheese & hard boiled eggs, at least, would help.
Internet access in rooms poor. Still good access in lobby.
Disappointing breakfast considering the room price of 205 euros per
night - very basic (no eggs, or meat of any kind, boring bread,
mediochre coffee) Extra payment of city tax (16 euros for 3 day stay)
required (in cash) of.
Breakfast a bit limited - one roll, one croissant.
It was a bit of a distance from the train station.
Décor a bit creepy.
Reminded me of the bedroom in 2001 A Space Odyssey.
The man serving breakfast was very rude and unaccommodating. Bad service and most unwelcoming.
No lift, Steps, no porter. basic breakfast, no ambience as in music. That may help with the stay for visitors to experience the grand old building.
Spartan bedroom with no connection to website images, virtually no hanging cupboard space, no daylight, minimum tasteless breakfast with luke warm coffee and unhelpful staff.
No lift, and far too expensive.
