The staff were excellent and the little chalets were a refreshing change from a multi storey hotel.
It's a ten minute walk to the main square but as a result it's a peaceful retreat. There's a great restaurant called Fillippo about a five minute walk away.

Maison Tofani is the best kept secret in Sorrento. We stayed 6 nights in Maison Tofani which is a great little hotel in the historical centre of Sorrento, decorated in the best Italian style. We had a large room with a big bed, a sofa and armchairs, a bathroom with shower - and free wifi! The room overlooked the narrow shopping street. We had a small table and two chairs on the minute balcony where we could watch the world go by. The windows were well insulated as we weren't disturbed by noise. vista ,simpatia - The hotel was superb with the staff being very freindly , the location and views were stunning ! - We really liked the location,it was an easy 7-10 minute to Piazza Tasso, but far enough away to have a great view of the bay and be peaceful at night.We also walked to the Circumvesuviana Station(15-18 min.) regularly for our trips

Our room was lovely with the sea view balcony. And it was not just any sea view, it was the fantastic blue Mediterranean with Vesuvius. One could have gazed it 24/7! The staff was incredibly friendly everywhere: reception, restaurant, bar, the cleaning ladies. Always with a big smile and a friendly comment. The hotel itself is lovely with its feeling of the old days but updated for today. Its location could not have been better with a view to dream of and a short way to everywhere in Sorrent
