  An excellent location for our first visit to Modena. We were travelling by car and found the hotel easily with our satnav and the staff had kindly left the (pre-booked) garage open for our arrival. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly, the room was rather large compared to any of our other Italian hotels and the bathroom was huge for Italian standards.   We travelled around Emilia-Romagna during our Easter holidays and the first stop was in Modena. We had a family room at the hotel and it includes 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The unusual thing is that the bedrooms have sinks but it was convenient. It was one of the biggest rooms in the hotel and is perfectly fine for 5+ people to sleep. I keep seeing other reviewers moaning about lack of variety for breakfast in these budget priced hotels but, for goodness sake, a good supply of coffee, toast, spreads, juices and yoghurt is quite enough and that's what you get here plus the pleasant conversation with the hard-working proprietor.
