  I can't say enough about the Orlando Palace Apartments. First, they are actually apartments. You have a bedroom, bathroom, living room, and full kitchen. There's even a dishwasher and washing machine! Everything was spotless, and the keyed entry pad into the building was wonderful- no extra keys to carry around. We were able to access the apartment on arrival, which has not happened at some other apartments I have stayed at in Europe. Numerous restaurants were in walking distance. We were welcomed by David who was incredibly helpful and recommended two restaurants in the local area that were out of this world and very reasonable for the quality! We visited with our 8 and 5 year olds and they loved the carousel, pastry shops, and activity on the Plaza, which is right outside of the door. The Duomo is just a skip away. The main room was a little more crowded, but the two single beds wo - The location is unbeatable, right in the centre of Florence and yet an easily walkable distance from smn station. The apartment was spacious for 2 people (my 11 yr old granddaughter and me). Having to go first to Hotel Lanzi did not present a problem for us and I particularly liked the fact that, having paid for the flat when we first arrived, we were not required to return to the hotel at check out - we were told to just leave the key device on the kitchen table.
