  The property consists of two parts - the pension (old part) and the hotel (new part), with separate buildings but common restaurant/breakfast area. The hotel part where we stayed was all new, the room was very spacious and  full of light, with a large terrace and stunning views over lake Kaltern (Caldaro), vineyards and the mountains. The new... cosa dice la gente » part also has a large, shadowed garage.  There is no "normal" restaurant, but the hotel serves dinners for guests between 6:30 pm and 8 pm - nor - We travelled by public transport to Bozen and took the bus (30 min.) to St. Josef am See (by the church). The hotel is nicely situated in the vineyards with view to the Kalterersee (lake Caldaro). We stayed in the old section. the room was classic with wooden furniture but very well kept up. The new section is a perfect combination of wood and stone, very nice. Wonderful breakfast, private access to the lake (can be reached by car or approx. 20 minutes walk), offer of bicycle rental.
