Athinais Hotel is perfect. Great location in a nice area. The room and bathroom are very clean. Some rooms have a balcony, some others have a nice view on Licavitos.The staff is friendly. Breakfast starts at 6.30, that is usefull if you have to travel early. Free wi fi in the room. We often stay in Athinais Hotel and we recommend it. -

The included breakfast was excellent with bacon ,eggs fruit etc.
Staff were very polite and spoke English and the attached cafe
/bar open from 8.00 am till 11..00 was a bonus. The area was very
safe to walk at night.

I feel that this hotel was given unjustified critics, mainly because

The owner and his wife where very friendly, I felt like home. The room was clean and remodeled with a fridge, tv, air coditionair and wifii. The location was excelent in the town and across the beach. The first night we arrived he gave us the keys and told us we are like a family feel at home.
I recomend this Villa to families, couples or a small group of friends.

la pulizia - Great facilities for the price, great location, and friendly staff! I was thankful for the air conditioner, cable tv, and great breakfast! - It was close to the train station, clean, had what I needed. I liked that they gave me a discount as I was travelling on my own and staying in a double room.

After the initial hitch of being told there was no room available (one was found when we said this wasn't acceptable) we were delighted with the hotel. Only a few mins walk to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. Rooms on the front of the hotel have Acropolis view. About 10 mins walk to the old-town area of Plaka. Nice swimming pool. Lovely modern decor throughout and great breakfast. Lovely.
