  Tourist Hotel was a great hotel, situated in a fantastic location. Argostoli is a very quiet town, however my visit was in low-season and this could be the reason for this. I would not recommend Argostoli if you-re looking for lots to do, as you may be required to travel out of town to reach these destinations. The hotel itself was fantastic, with 24-hour staff who spoke great Englis - Stayed at Tourist in early August. We are a family of three so it was nice to have an extra room for the kid. Balcony was facing the harbor and was on the shady side in the afternoon. The room was spotless. They cleaned it properly every day. Excellent breakfast. They even make coffee on request so that you get exactly the one you like. Staff members were very nice and helpful. Just ask at the front desk if you need any information.   This is a grand hotel which was available at a very reasonable price. The hotel dominates the very large main square of Argostoli with many restaurants nearby. Reception was exceptionally sweet and helpful, directing me to a delightful Greek place to eat. Good buffet breakfast included. And Nick Cage stayed there.
