Firstly, one needs to compare the day rate between the Empress and the
Inn. The Empress is only a few blocks away, free parking, free wi-fi,
also doesn't have air conditioning....and is almost $300 more a day.
As I didn't need to spend a lot of time in my room, the size
didn't matter. However, security and cleanliness was key and the Inn
met those very well. The restaurant is excellent. The staff very
friendly and helpful. Although there is no elevator, staff will carry

One of the highlights of our trip. The house is incredible, the rooms
were extremely comfortable, the hosts were outstanding, and the
breakfasts were to die for. Warren and Gary were friendly and helpful
throughout our visit, and their breakfasts were truly memorable (though

Where do we start, it was an over the to experience. Loved the
atmosphere, the wonderful personalities of Gary and Warren, particularly
loved Mindy, just all around loved our time there, like being in a
Country Cottage, only complaint was the people to the side of us the
last night, very noisy throughout the night but then, that is not a big
deal. Just loved being there and miss the three of you already. Hugs,

The location is perfect. It's close to the Inner Harbour, BC Parliament Building and the famous Fairmount Empress. Walking less than five minutes, you will be at the coast. The Douglas Street, which is the street that Helm's Inn is on, has tons of restaurants, convenient stores and shops. You can easily walk a restaurant and grab something to eat. We had a corner room with two windows and a balcony overlooking the inner harbor. The room was lovely with plenty of space and the bed was comfortable. The staff was also helpful and friendly. The hotel is only 15min.of walk to The Faimont Express Hotel and next to the Inner Harbour. In the restraut of hotel you have a good view of water and harbour, excellent!

I was in a jam & needed a quick last minute hotel option for my visit. Internet found-All positive reviews to reassure and was very surprised to walk into out beautiful room with an amazing view of the harbour & better yet.. An excellent choice & will definitely be staying agin. Every aspect of downtown Victoria were in walking distance for us (as its a busy town with limited parking). I recommended this hotel to all my friends & family for furure stays. You won't be disapointed

We were upgraded to a queen suite at no extra charge, very clean comfortable room. Staff was very helpful. They have bicycles which you can use free of charge , a great way to get around downtown Victoria -
