  The staff was very friendly, waiting out group to arrive until 12am. When the lock of our room broke they were in helpful in opening the door right away. Nice ambience and good breakfast.   On our backpacker budget there hasn't been much room for 'luxury' and while Cauca wasn't the Ritz, we were thrilled with the setting and comfort that came with pushing the boat out a little further on spend. The grounds are beautiful - zen-like almost - and the rooms provided a good bed, decent shower and high standard of cleanliness.   Friendly & helpful staff. Good breakfast, with fresh fruits & cake. Location was good (the village is small, so I guess most locations are Ok) Small fridge in the room. - Josefina, the girl who works at the pousada was really nice to us. She helped to make our stay in Ilha Grande a great one

  This was our favourite place out of the dozen or so we stayed in during our month in Brazil. Our room - with two balconies, a hammock and a private bathroom with a hot shower - was immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, you could borrow DVDs to watch in your room and also flippers and masks for snorkling. Roger one of the managers is especially attentive to all travellers and will happily show you the many attractions and tips of the island. Rooms with a hammock and they provide many activities should it rain such as a games room and tv area. Plus each room has DVDs and a library.   The hotel is located only 50 meters from the main dock. The hotel is directly in front of the beach and breakfast is served looking out over the sea. Breakfast is varied, including lots of fresh fruits. The staff speaks English and is very helpfull. The rooms are nice and clean, including a/c and a refrigerator.   Location is right on the beach in the center. Facilities are basic but good enough. At night a little noisy as there is a restautant with singer. Staff were nice and friendly. - The hostal is near the center of the village end beach. The breakfast was excellent.

  The pousada is really nice, wonderful location, inside yard and breakfast. The staff is always helpful and gave us some tips, rooms simple but have all you need and are always clean. When we asked to check-out a day early due to bad weather and feeling ill, we had not a single problem. There are not many hotels that would be so easy! Very clean, very nice.

  Rodrigo and Rita were the friendliest and most helpful people. They spoke excellent English and gave us great tips on where to go and what to do. The breakfasts were superb, homemade cakes were a particular highlight. The surroundings were beautiful, set back in the hills behind abraao with a river running down beside you when you are having break... cosa dice la gente » fast. I would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay in Ilha Grande. - Staff is outstanding, Rodrigo and his wife run the place (and live there) and they simply could not be more accommodating. They give great tips about the area, and are always available. The location is fantastic, with the jungle overhead, a river flowing next to the open space, monkeys and birds nearby. The room was nice and clean, no complaints but it is not a luxury resort. The value is outstanding.
