the apartment was like walking into my own home.it e warm and welcoming and great for our older children with their own bathroom and we had our own space as well and the apartment was above a well stocked IGA so food shopping for breakfast was convenient. also Kellie our contact person was amazing when i asked if we could stay longer as one of our girls was unwell in the night, her kindness was very appreciated as we could stay until we needed to go to the airport. thankyou so much.

The location was very central and was either walking distance or a short taxi ride to everywhere we wanted to go (which we only got a cab one night because we were in a hurry!). The view was great & so was the option of the car park if needed. Next time we come back to Melbourne, we'll be staying here. Thanks. Loved just about everything. The only gripe, and it's very minor was on arrival (during office hours) we couldn't find the reception staff to collect the keys. We had a phone number and they didn't answer that so we had to wait 20-25 mins in reception. However as said, this is very minor. Kellie was very helpful with emails answered immediately. Location is fantastic for exploring inner city attractions. Proximity to Crown Casino excellent for locating taxis. Apartment was spacious, well equipped (kitchen and laundry) and secure. Would highly recommend for families - loved the thoughtfulness of supplying children's books. Spacious well equipped apartment perfect for family or two couples. Location excellent across road from tram stop, near casino area, can walk to city. Our luggage was collected and held for us then delivered back to us before we left for the airport. Being on Southbank and the proximity to the city and entertainment venues; all of which were within easy walking, tram or short taxi ride. SouthBank itself has a wide variety of walking/ cycling tracks, entertainment, cafes, restaurants and bars. The location was great - lots of things within walking distance and close to public transport. The apartment was clean and thoughtfully equipped (with power adapters for example). It was great value for money for a 3 bedroom close to the city. Our 1 bed apartments in the Via Grande building where nearly new, very comfortably furnished and in a great location near the casino and exhibition centre. Kellie who runs Gem apartments was very helpful and we would definitely stay again. The apartment was right next to a grocery shop. Tram stop directly opposite. Close to the Crown Casino Was not too noisy. Apartment had all the utensils you needed. Was nice to have a balcony to look out. Bedrooms are a good size. Lovely and modern apartments that allow you to self-cater. Whilst not in the city itself, it was a 10 min walk to the CBD and a 5 min walk to all the restaurants in Southbank. Easy to access parking and great views. The apartment was beautifully decorated and contained everything we needed. Great views and very new and modern. Very clean and in a nice building with free parking. Location in Soutbank Melbourne was excellent. Close to South Wharf and South Melbourne cafes and restaurants. Enjoyed the views and the spaciousness of the unit. I had to attend a conference held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre. Gem apartments were close by and very convenient. The apartment was well equipped and very clean. Location was excellent as I attended the Melbourne convention centre. Everything was great Facilities close to the area where we need to work, restaurant and supermarket on the doorstep. The location was brilliant and the extra kitchen utensils were a nice touch when travelling with a toddler. The layout, the view, the free wifi and local phone calls. Kitchen amenties, the pool. Perfectly located for enjoyment dining shopping and overall great city stay holiday. Great location and nice apartment in a building with a lot of facilities. Everything, location to city, restaurants, transport made our stay easy. The location was great, room was good and clean. Had all you need. The apartment was good and well set out. Collapsible luggage rack for suitcase would have been very welcome. Close to conference centre. We liked the two seperate bedrooms with twin beds for the girls. We also loved how close to the crown complex it was. only the trams running most of the night. Nothing - perfect accommodation. Cold wet weather :). There is no real reception. When we arrived the concierge (whom we had to wait for a while to locate) didn't have my name on record and didn't know which apartment I was supposed to have. Ditto when we checkout. You had to take your rubbish out of the room down to the garage which we could not access via our lift. Had to go to the main building to use gym, pool, bins, garage. Nothing really, but remember you don't have concierge services. Single beds were a bit small for adults. Nothing. Had nowhere to leave luggage after we checked out. Still had a days business to conduct. Conserge OK but wasn't there problem. This would be the only reason we couldn't stay again, we come over on business twice a year. The concierge service was late and rude. Nothing, although needed better explanation of how to use the key access for the lifts and where the garbage shut and bins were located and how to get to them. Nothing loved everything about it. Would have preferred servicing of the apartment on a daily basis to be included in the price. Parking on 6th level. Price. nothing. The air conditioning did not work on arrival and the room was like a sauna. It was not able to be fixed until the next day which meant I had a very uncomfortable evening. The windows weren't clean. Trying go find the recycling room. Even though we were on 20th floor, found to be a bit noisy with traffic below. Maybe windows fixings like curtains would help in the bedrooms to block out noise. Verandah door stuck Washing machine tricky - connects to fan. The room itself seemed a fair bit older in appearance than what we expected. On arrival, finding dirty dishes in the dishwasher & wet towels in the washing machine. Fridge leaked water, and main light in en suite not working. Only minor issues for us though. Location was central but not accessible for general traffic had to walk with luggage across several very busy intersections. You need to be very fit. No signage for gem on building. Concierge did not have any booking and had to call gem. Windows needs a good clean and you are right next to 9 lanes of high way which is extremely noisy in the morning. Dont expect a morning sleep-in unless you are dead. 5Am traffic will wake you. Too bad you have to haul your own trash 15 levels down to keep your deposit. It does not mention this when you book. Dining options are not exactly on the door step. The single beds are very short. In a hotel I would expect king singles made for real people. It wasn't very warm even with the heat right up and the sofa wasn't big enough for the whole family. Plus getting rid of your own rubbish felt wrong considering the price per night cost.
